I switched from NIS to N 360, and i don't use the backup function. I have an astronomical amount of Norton files on my c:/ drive,it took 45 min+ to search for all of them. What can I get rid of,? because N360 says that it (360,norton) is high usage of CPU, and disk?

Why is N 360 still optimizing my drive, when i have it unchecked!?
I've just ran a Live Update after booting up my laptop, and I've noticed that my Virus Defs have not been pushed through. I'm still on 20140514.034 when the latest set is 20140515.008.
Assuming this is a server issue. I'm in the UK. Anyone else having this problem?

I have had issues with norton 360 in last two weeks had to restore to previous date in order to fix my computer - the trouble is there is no research into what shut down my protection - norton had to be reinstalled error 8504 and 104 - support just wants to remote connect this is not ok I refused connect and their only resolve is to reintall but the issue will continue to happen unless the root issue is fixed how is norton being disabled? seems all support is overseas and I am told there is NO SUPPORT in the US - having serious doubts I should keep norton -seriously concerned

Inside Norton 360 you can check whether your version is the newest. When I check, Symantec responds assurring me I have the newest version. I downloaded the trial version (21.3.0.12) and compared it to my "current version" (21.2.0.38) to find Symantec was wrong. This has happened before with earlier versions.
1. Is the version checker accurate? (apparently not);
2. How does one really check for a newer version since you can't trust the Norton 360 checker software?
After successfully using Norton 360 and MS Outlook for years, yesterday, Outlook ceased to launch. Launching Outlook brings up the splash screen that indicates that the Norton AntiSpam Plugin is loading 5 of 9 add-ins. It never gets beyond that screen.
How do I get them to work together again harmoniously? On 5/15/14, my computer downloaded a number of automatic updates. Not sure this coincidence has anything to do with it or not.
(Setting has been verified as "Automatically open when...."

After upgrading to NSS 21.2.0.38 from 21.1.0.40 I now see a teredo tunneling pseudo-interface on the Network Security Map that was not shown prior to my upgrade.
What concerns me most is the Adapter manufact. for the interface is Xerox. I am not running any equipment with Xerox. I made the device/network restricted. So far I have not figured out what it is, where it's at, nor who it is. I also cannot get it off my network.
I am running Win7 64 Home Prem , tethering my android phone to access the internet.
Any ideas?
I'm backkkk. This time I get an occasional Norton Pop-up at the upper-right corner of the Desktop.
I have Win8.1. N360 is current. Here's a picture of the pop-up:
I click but nothing noticable happens. All N360 scans completed. Anyone know?

despite I run LiveUpdate almost every hour. Check my screenshot, help please!
I also already checked Norton Update Center it says "your norton product already up-date"
I tried both manuel and auto, didnt work..
I heard this bug is a serious threat, and I want get protected...

It downloads the 381mb file then when it "verifies" those files it gives this message. "An error occurred with the downloaded files. Please click retry to restart the download".
I had already used nss for several months and was reinstalling, as directed, due to error in liveupdate. I ran norton cleaner and restarted several times. No other antivirus program installed.
I had a similar problem this year with turbotax due to them not being compatible with my Win xp (which they fixed). I suspect this issue also related to xp.

I upgraded NIS to N360 on 5/3/14 and i don't know what this symantec.exe program is doing in the document file? Like I said I installed N360 on the 3rd. Can i get rid of it in that location, or where do I put it? Delete it?
I tried to log into my Norton account to change my Email and I guess I forgot my password. Anyway, I followed the link, typed in a new password and I keep getting bombed out saying I need to use at least 6 characters. I have used all kinds of numbers, characters and alphabet. Nothing works. Somehow my id and password worked for this board. I guess they are diffierent.
Over the last few days, I am constantly, and I do mean constantly, getting a little pop-up from Norton saying:
Norton blocked an attack by: Malicious Site: Malicious Web Site, Domain, or URL(1).
To the best of my knowledge, neither I nor anyone else who uses this computer, have been to any unusual web sites or downloaded anything recently. However, if I click on the View Details link, the message is:
An intrusion attempt by www . download - servers . com was blocked.
Although it says no action is required, I would like to be able to stop this high risk attack from happening. I am unfamiliar with www . download - servers . com.

Two days ago I was looking at Anime sights and immediately started receiveing messages like:
1. Your PC is about to crash - click here to fix
2. Please install Flash Player HD and click continue
3. This is not a joke. You arre the 100,000 visitor - click here
4. The media content is not shown properly. It is recommended to uo update your system player now. Update version M
This happens every time I long in and I usually have two pop ups on my screen at all times.
I receive these every time I log into the internet. They sometimes cover parts of the screen on top of what I am trying to read.
I set the Antivirus, Antispam and Pop up blockers to maximum.
Also, what hard drive is Norton scanning while asking for a complete scan? I have windows on a SSD drive and software on a hard drive. If it only scans C: the above problem may be on my hard drive B:
What seems to be the best way to renew Norton 360 because $79.99 seems a little steep. Renewal codes I find don't seem to work. Up untill 2012 I just bought Norton 360 from Buy Cheap Software and uninstalled/reinstalled new packages which are currently $29.99. Last year though a forum member kindly sent me a renewal code and I was able to break with that company and strictly go through Norton interface. It also preserved days remaining on previous subscription. Are these renewal codes not working? Little baffled this time around.
Bottom line is the best way to renew Norton 360 now just to purchase a download from some site and take the product key and enter it into the renewal form of old product?
