Hi,
I'm using Norton 360 - my "About" window says I'm using Version 20.3.0.36 and "new version check" says I've got the most up to date. I'm running Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit on a Dell Studio 1555 laptop.
I'm experiencing an odd problem. When I click on the Performance Tab, I used to be able to hover over the icons in the top window - hovering over a red triangle would tell me what the detection was, the black circles with yellow arrows would tell me the downloads, etc.
However, now I get a black window with no text - or, sometimes, nothing at all.
I did notice that one user had the same issue with NIS 2013 but did not seem to have the issue resolved - or at least did not post the resolution.
I can't really identify when this happened - semi-recently is the best I can do.
About the same time, I noticed that the icon that appears in the task bar - that used to be the Norton logo, is now a blank white page with a green check on it.
The NIS thread I referenced mentioned updating display drivers - I have done that, and I have had no problems with no other programs, websites, or anything else. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Norton 360.
The icon in the system tray is fine. However, the icons in the Start Menu are also blank.
Any ideas? Seems like it would be something simple, but I can't seem to find it.
My subscription is up for renewal in about 30 days - maybe I should switch to a different Norton product?
