Hi,
- Windows 7 64-bit
- Norton 360
I'm working with an Admin over at the Windows 7 forum to determine if my Norton 360 Full System scans are affecting an issue within IE10.
What are the components that run during a 360 Full System Scan? I want to eliminate the Full Sys Scan "cleanup" actions, ie, delete temp files, disk defrag, etc. , for troubleshooting purposes.
I unchecked all components in this section but am not sure what else Norton performs during the Sys scan besides scanning the HDD's on my PC.
I wanted to post a screencap of my PC Tuneup settings but am not sure how to do that here.
If all of the PC Turneup components are unchecked, is there any difference between running a Full System Scan and my HDD, assuming there is only 1 HDD accessable on my PC?
I see that I can select "Drive Scan" in the "Run Scans" section. If I have all of my PC Tuneup options unchecked, does a Drive Scan (ie, "C" Drive) do the same thing as the Full Sys Scan?
Will a Drive Scan access the entire HDD, MBR sectors, etc?
