Hello!
Here is my predicament... I was prompted to update my Norton 360 yesterday. It had been awhile, if ever, that I received such a prompt. Anyway, I did the update. After doing so, my Google Chrome browser would not connect to the internet. IE and Firefox did, however, work.
I tried just about everything and basically repeated the process with a Symantec technical support specialist, all to no avail. Finally, we gave a shot at uninstalling Norton. The restart that required, of course, broke my connection with the technician, but, voila, with Norton no longer installed, Google Chrome is back working once again.
With that said, before breaking our connection, the technician was suggesting that I contact Google Chrome support. But, now I know that the problem definitely relates to Norton. I would like to reinstall my Norton 360, but I do not want to go around in endless circles with this. Please bear in mind that ALL the usual steps and a number of advanced steps have already been tried. Anyway, does anybody have any helpful suggestions?
Thank you in advance for your anticipated consideration and assistance! I am...
... Sincerely,
Steve
