I replaced McAfee with N360 on an employees Dell Inspiron laptop running Windows 7. After installing N360. Outlook 2010 would not send emails out. Incoming emails were OK. Got online twice with Tech Sppt and we they did some work on the registry. Emails would go out but we have to force them out. After we composed an email. We hit SEND and the email would stay in the Outbox, and would not go out. We did many Send & Receives, and nothing happened. We then clicked the outgoing email from the OUTBOX and then Clicked SEND and it would go out. We got back online with Tech Sppt and they could not resolve the problem. They said it wasn't a Norton issue. It was a Microsoft issue. And to contact Microsoft. I could not get in touch will Billy Gates or Steven B. In order to send emails out. You would hit SEND after composing the email, and then have to go find the email in the OUTBOX and then click that email again, and hit SEND again, and it would go. Strange.
The issue must be with IMAP protocol. I use N360 on my Dell Optiplex desktop with Outlook 2010 with POP3 protocol and it works fine. When using Outlook 2010 with IMAP protocol and N360. Emails dont go out unless you force them out.
Once we removed N360 from the laptop. We installed the basic Norton Anti Virus program and the email issue went away. All was back to working like it did prior to installing N360. Very sure I will not be renewing any N360 subscripitons and stick with NIS and NAV for the near future.
