My Norton 360 just renewed in January and all was running smoothly. I think it may have been on Sunday while running the updates that a patch was to be installed. Unfortunately, the patch didn't install properly. I rebooted, ran a second update and no mention of a patch appeared. I wrongly assumed all was up to snuff and no need to be concerned. Then the scanning problem arose again as it has in the past. The Quick or Full scan won't run now. It ran once after rebooting, but this morning after booting up my computer neither the Full or Quick would run. Yesterday I clicked on the Support and it ran a system check. Came back saying it fixed one item.
Running Windows 8, IE10, Norton version 21.1.0.18. I checked for any updates with Windows and Sony, and there are none. Well, of course, I keep being reminded to update to Windows 8.1 by Microsoft. I'm still very hesitant to upgrade at this point to the 8.1.
I suspect the patch which was supposed to be installed didn't do what it was supposed to do or didn't install at all. For pete's sake, this problem is so so so so old and really tired of it happening over and over. Just want it fixed and would love to never encounter this problem again. In years past, we never had problems with our Norton services. Seems it's only been in the past couple of years these problems have arisen and continue to occur.
