The above error appeared on my now expired copy of Internet Security. When I tried to resolve this, I lost access to the majority of programmes on my computer, and had to revert to an earlier profile of the system (bringing back the error above) to recover access to my programmes. (is this due to the fact that Internet Security has links to all the programmes and if this is damaged, the programmes are unable to be viewed or accessed?).
When Internet Security expired yesterday, I began installing Norton 360. It started removing old Norton files, but indicated an error had occurred and would not load any further. I then found that the link to all my programmes had again been lost. I tried to revert to an earlier saved profile, using System Restore but was advised System Restore could not start.
Is there any way of fixing this problem, and getting Norton 360 to install, or is it necessary to go back to factory settings to get Norton to load?
