Hey guys..I installed the latest Norton 360 6 weeks ago and for a month everything was working fine. Two weeks ago though I started getting spontaneous reboots on my trusty well maintained WinXP.I have made no changes to my system and no new software has been installed.I finally managed to trace the problem to Norton since the problem goes away when I switch to silent mode ON.I have already used Norton removal tool to re-install to the latest version of 360 and the problem persists.Curiously as long as I am working at the computer the spontaneous reboot never happens.Only when I am away from the computer when it's 'idling' and Norton is switched to "Silent Mode OFF', will it reboot spontaneously after between 20 and 80 minutes.Once again with silent mode 'ON' no problems whatsoever. Also even when I run virus scans and all other Norton 360 features manually I encounter no problems whether Silent Mode is ON or OFF.Do you have any ideas as to what may be causing this ?Thanks in advance,Gerry.
P.S. I included the Minidump file showing that NAVENG.SYS,NAVEX15.SYS are probably involved.
