I'm a N360 subscriber.
I accidentally installed the iminent.com toolbar and had an awful time getting rid of it. Iminent it is a pernicious and tenacious pest whose intrusions Norton products should prevent.
Iminent is a browser hijacker that installs itself as default search engine and homepage on FF, IE and Chrome, inserts itself into the Registry, and installs files and subdirectories that cannot be deleted via Explorer or the DOS command line. You have to go into Safe Mode (XP) to delete the files and directories, and of course you have to delete the browser settings one by one.
Even once deleted, it keeps coming back. I have had to erase this bleeping crap half a dozen times in the last couple weeks. An emoticon popup will suddenly appear and with it all the above weeds that I have to laboriously pull again and again. A huge waste of my time.
I thought Norton would protect me from pests like this. Please add iminent.com to your list of malware sites and prevent it from infecting computers like mine. Thank you.
