Suddenly, I lost N360 functionality. The taskbar icon won't open. The Spam plugin causes outlook 2007 to crash. When I execute live update I often get error 3400 followed by 4017. I did the following 6-7 times: I executed Norton Removal Tool, restarted, executed NRT again, restarted, reinstalled N360 2013. Every time I got the same results. I contacted support who repeated my series but did part of it in safe mode. The same result happened. Finally, the support person put my system back on Norton 360 2012 (Version 6), and that worked.
It sounds a bit like I brought my 2013 car to the mechanic and I came out of the garage with a 2012 model!
The N360 problem looks like a reproducible software conflict, and I am afraid it cannot be fixed without tracing the execution.
At any rate, did anyone experience a similar problem and found a fix?
