I am re-partitioning a new hard drive but to do so my software Spotmau requires me to turn off all antivirus programs and any other system protection software. I only have Norton software. I went to Settings in Norton and turned off everything. This still left a Norton program I can see in the processes running on my PC. How can I end this program? Program is 'symerr.exe *32'. It says access is denied when I try to end it. I have tried to reset permissions but the changes are not kept. Short of uninstalling the Norton software, complete the repartitioning, and then re-install Norton , what can be done?
