Norton 360 installed on a brand new HP laptop running Windows 8. All updates are current. No matter what I do, I get the red X saying the PC is at risk. When going into details, it shows 5 things turned off: AutoProtect, Sonar, Antispyware (all in red) and incoming/outgoing mail turned off (in orange). Clicking the "Fix Now" button accomplishes nothing. Turning all these things on manually at first seems promising then they are revert to the Off position again. I have rebooted, shut down, started again, run Live Update a million times and now matter what I do, I get the Security Area of Norton 360 in red saying "at risk." I've owned countless versions of Norton installed on many PCs over the years and never had this issue. I'm afraid the fix may be to reinstall the product, which I really don't feel like doing.
I'm stumped.
One more thing.... When I run a full system scan from Norton, it says "Problem Detected: product is not active. Go to main window." Huh???? It's purchased, installed, registered, and shows up on the Norton Management site. Not active????
